Tareq is an author and a member of the Palestinian Writers Union. He studied English literature at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, but he began with self-learning in 2015. He has worked as news writer/translator for the local newspaper Donia Al-watan, and also writes in both English and Arabic for international outlets like Elbadi, Middle East Eye and Almonitor.
