Mohammad, 20, lives in Gaza City and is a junior in business administrative and economic science at AL-Azhar University. He was a student in the English ACCESS microscholarship program in 2010-2011 at Amideast, which fed his love of the language. Mohammad has plenty of dreams, but his biggest interest is studying to become highly educated. His hobbies include writing, Sherlock Holmes and watching football (soccer).
It was my first opportunity to leave Gaza and see the outside world. And for a few brief moments, I imagined being like most people and simply boarding a plane.
