emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

JeJe Al Abyad

Jeje, 22, is originally from Jaffa, but grew up in the Gaza Strip and attended Al-Azhar University, from which she received her BA in English and French literature. During her academic years, she volunteered for many international organizations and was a member of a blogger team. She is very ambitious, looking forward to pursuing advanced studies in sociology and intercultural communication. Jeje believes in the power of writing and reading: “When I read, I get to know my ancestors and myself too, and when I write I tell my story to the next generations," she says.
