we are not numbers

emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Mona AlMsaddar

Mona is the kind of person who always tries more than her best to achieve her dreams and to stand by her principles. She sees herself as a poet, which is why she listens deeply to her heart. "No matter how hard life is, the solution always lies in two words: TRY and BELIEVE."

Mona has worked as an English trainer for more than three years. She loves her students and feels she is responsible for giving them the best she can of her personality and knowledge. Finally, she loves to try new things, and and especially to "fly" through music and walking.

    my work

I hope the new US secretary of state will see our common pain.
I choose to fight for my own identity, my own place in society.
Surviving the 2014 war on Gaza is a blessing and a curse.
COVID-19 is spreading into Gaza; this is day one of my diary.
