Hossam Wail Abo-Shammallah

    Hossam Wail Abo-Shammallah studies English at Al-Azhar University – Gaza. He has survived four wars on Gaza and other conflict escalations. He’s also lived through a pandemic. He describes himself as a “jump rope dude.” He’s always seeking more and his motto is “never say never.”

    I worked very hard to be a good owner to my dog Pablo, but it wasn’t enough. He had to go, leaving me heartbroken.
    In Gaza, we brace for the latest round of trauma, while knowing that the next round will come sooner than the last.
    Despite his medical conditions, Mohammed likes to play with family and friends.
