Dana Hirbawi
Dana Hirbawi is a translator, proofreader and English teacher. She graduated from Birzeit University in 2019 with distinction, earning a BA in English Language and Literature and a minor degree in Translation and Business Administration. She was a member of Tamayyaz program at Sharek Youth Forum. She obtained an international accreditation in English language, a PCELT certificate, from SIT Graduate Institute and Amideast.
During her time at the university, Dana was a volunteer at the “PAS program,” which helps foreigners learn Arabic. She participated in the ICPD25 summit in Nairobi with the Palestinian delegation and presented an interactive play entitled "Be Vocal" about GBV. She was employed with the British Support Team in a Youth and Gender internship program. She was a member and co-researcher with the Restless Development Youth Task Team.
Dana has an immediate impact upon joining a team and has sustained a high work rate that has enabled her to be effective. She is personable, hard-working, diligent and thoroughly reliable. She has a keen intellect and a thirst for knowledge and self-improvement, and she sets and achieves high standards. She has risen to every challenge and coped admirably in what has been, at times, a high-pressure and challenging environment.
Dana strives to be an active citizen in the Palestinian community through volunteerism and spreading inspiration! She has a strong belief that every goalin life can be accomplished, if one is continuously eager and willing!
