we are not numbers

emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Aseel Kabariti

Hi reader! It's Aseel, a Palestinian girl from Gaza. I study Frensh literature at Al-Aqsa University. I am a street photographer and graphic designer.

I am  obsessed with movies, music, art and languages. I believe that one world is not enough (not for a one who have a big imagination like me, anyway). That is why I read books and watch movies.

When it comes to photography, it is my way to say things. How, you ask? For me the camera is not just a machine; it is like someone who will translate and describe my emotions and my point of view to others. I see things from all perspectives. There are a lot of things that look different if we look at them from other sides.

And as a Palestinian girl, I have a lot to show to you. Every story will be told not just by words but by its characters; images. With me you will see the real Gazans.
