Ahmed Maher Alshawwa

Ahmed Maher Alshawwa obtained a superior GPA in high school, 94.1, and is studying English translation and literature at the Islamic University of Gaza. He does volunteer service for several institutions as a translator, proofreader, editor, and reviewer. He dedicates himself to enhancing his knowledge in different domains, and he is highly passionate about languages. “If I don’t use the English language in my daily life, I can’t think straight,” Ahmedhe informs his friends.

When he feels bored and frustrated, he likes to go jogging and listen to all kinds of music, especially rap.

Ahmed says that he loves to write “because I consider writing a powerful tool for human communication.” During his initial interview to join WANN, he asserted that “WANN will be my platform for spreading my voice and writings to other worlds.”
