Sharon Weinman
After 45 years in three different professions โ social work, law, and leadership development โ Sharon Weinman is committed to doing her part to make the world more just, equitable, and healthy. She is a volunteer with POWER Interfaith, a multi-faith and multi-racial organization committed to racial and economic justice on a livable planet. As a volunteer leader and organizer, she works with communities to help them play a more powerful role in shaping policies that affect their families, neighborhoods, and the City of Philadelphia. As a practical matter, she spends her time meeting with lots of people one-to-one, attending meetings, making tons of phone calls, and knockings on doors.
Sharon is also a mosaic artist and freelance writer. โI love hearing peopleโs stories and believe that our stories hold the unique potential for enlightening and changing each other,โ she says. โAs a writer and editor, I find great satisfaction in helping others tell their stories. There are no stories more important to tell than those of young Gazans. Their stories need to be heard throughout the world.”
