Susan Abulhawa

    Susan was born to Palestinian refugees of the 1967 war when Israel captured what remained of Palestine, including Jerusalem where her family had lived for centuries. Founder of Playgrounds for Palestine, a children’s organization dedicated to protecting the right to play for children living under occupation or in refugee camps, Susan is the author of the novel “Mornings in Jenin” and “The Blue Between Sky and Water.” She currently lives in Pennsylvania, USA, with her daughter.
