Salena Tramel

    Salena Tramel is the senior global learning coordinator at Grassroots International, an organization that accompanies social movements for systems change. Salena is also a researcher of political ecology at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague. Her research focuses on how radical social justice movements build political power through convergence in the face of land, water, and territory grabbing. Committed to language justice, Salena speaks English, French, Spanish, and (some) Arabic and Haitian Creole. She has lived and worked in the occupied Palestinian territories, and written extensively on issues related to Palestine. Salena’s publications have appeared in a wide range of media outlets and scientific journals. She is based in Mallorca.
