Natasha Taghavi is a writer, editor and content strategist with over ten years of experience in her field. Currently digital content editor for an online platform, she manages and edits a team of writers while working across various strategic projects for both creative and commercial content.

Natasha’s interest and knowledge of Middle Eastern affairs stem from her heritage, the stories she heard growing up as a daughter to pre-revolution Iranian parents and her trips to the region. Having undertaken an MA Degree in journalism, her thesis was a critique of the media’s portrayal – through language – of crises within the ME region, paying particular attention to Palestine/Israel and
coverage of the occupation.

Natasha has experience editing and proofreading academic papers for students from the Far East and UAE and enjoys piecing together other people’s words into something comprehensible and lucid while maintaining the writer’s intentions and story core. Natasha believes that there should always be a platform for the human voice. And if she can do one thing outside of her fulltime job of work and being a mother to her two-year-old daughter, it will be to help young writers carve out their stories and have them heard.

A lover of the written word, you’ll often find Natasha reading the works of Donna Tartt, Joan Didion, and Hilary Mantel. She enjoys documentary films and world cinema, having studied pre and post-revolution Iranian cinema as part of her BA Degree in English Literature and Film Studies.
