    Natalie Jabbar is a California-born writer of Palestinian, Syrian, and Iraqi heritage. She is the associate director of Stanford University’s Public Humanities Initiative, which helps faculty and students engage with audiences beyond the university. Her writing has appeared in Salon, Serious Eats, JAMA (the Journal of the American Medical Association), the New York Times, Well+Good, and other publications.
