Mona is a British Palestinian journalist,  writer, producer and documentary filmmaker. She is now based in Portugal working with migrants. Coauthor of Feminine Power, her writings have mainly focused on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, for both the British and Arab press. Mona has at various times sat on many boards including the boards of NCF (Next Century Foundation), Jade (Jewish Arab Dialogue) and FRRME (the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East). She is vice chair of BMSD (British Muslims for Secular Democracy). She is also working on a memoir.

Mona is married and lives between London and Lisbon.
