A long-time journalist, Melissa Robinson lives with her family in the Washington suburb of Silver Spring, Maryland, where she also works as an actor and director.

Over a long career, Melissa has written for newspapers, magazines, wire services and the web and worked in radio as a reporter, anchor and call-in talk show host. She’s produced news, features, essays, investigative work and travel blogs from the United States and overseas and covered New England issues and politics for the Associated Press for a decade.

Melissa earned a B.A./B.S. in English and biology from Boston College, and earned her master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of Journalism. She wrote a narrative nonfiction book, “The Search for Canasta 404,” about a missing Navy pilot and his wife’s work as a POW/MIA activist. She’s currently at work on a thriller for an Los Angeles-based film company and is taking classes at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies.

Melissa is a huge animal lover. She also likes yoga, cycling and running, photography, being outdoors, growing herbs, cooking & refinishing furniture. A native of upstate New York, she is still picky about her apples.
