Lisa Masri is passionate about storytelling both as an art form and an act of political resistance. She is particularly drawn to the intricacy of languages and to children’s literature. Currently based in Wisconsin, she lived in the city of Nablus in the West Bank for 14 years. There, she worked in education, the arts, and research, while raising three children.
Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a graduate degree from Bethlehem University in international development. She has extensive experience with ethnographic field research in the West Bank and Gaza and has worked as an editor on many research publications by Palestinian academics and graduate students. She currently works in research administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She loves spending time with her family, gardening, and reading.
