Kate Casa is a former journalist turned nonprofit professional with experience in communications and grant writing for the Center for Community Change, ACLU, Lebanese American University and others. She is currently editorial manager for the School for International Training in Vermont. Kate first traveled to Palestine in the mid-1980s as a correspondent for Vatican Radio and has returned as often as possible – but not often enough – since then. In the Middle East, she also covered stories in Jordan and Iraq. Her work for the National Catholic Reporter on the U.S. use of depleted uranium weapons in Iraq was cited by Project Censored as among the top under-reported stories of 1996.
Kate remains appalled at the skewed reporting of Israel and Palestine in western media and believes We Are Not Numbers can help to correct the narrative.
