Connie Charles is a reader and a writer, a journal keeper and a poet, an essayist and a writer of letters to elected officials and editors of publications. When she was working, she was a public relations professional and a development officer in the nonprofit sector. Her voluntary activities include participation in educational projects, from teaching xeriscapic gardening to restoring natural habitats with the Audubon Society and from encouraging young women seeking to become pilots through the Ninety-Nines, the International Organization of Licensed Women Pilots, to equal justice advocacy. She is a pilot.
Connie has long been an advocate for Palestinians, their lands, their lives, and their rights. She is currently an activist with several organizations working to expose the public to the truth about Palestinians and their circumstances.
She is eager to assist young Palestinians to have their voices heard in their own behalf.
She lives in Southern California.
