Christa Bruhn is an American author, photographer, and culinary artist with a lifelong passion for peace and justice. She holds degrees in International Studies (BA), Middle Eastern & North African Studies (MA), and Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis (PhD). Christa has studied six languages, including Hebrew, and can speak four, including Arabic.
Christa has published academic work on Palestine, peace education, and diversity and led and participated in roundtables on the future of Palestine and Israel. In 2023, she released her memoir Crossing Borders: The Search for Dignity in Palestine in 2023 for the 75th anniversary of the state of Israel, what for Palestinians marks the 75th commemoration of the Nakba, Arabic for Catastrophe.
As the mother of three Palestinians, Christa remains involved in her family’s business, Canaan Palestine, which exports fair trade, organic, and regenerative certified olive oil and other artisan food products to the world sourced from small family farms in Palestine.
