Catherine Baker is writer/editor by profession who serves as senior editor of We Are Not Numbers. She began volunteering as a mentor for WANN in 2015.

She is a member of the Washington, DC-based running group Iqraa (Arabic for read), which raises funds for college scholarships awarded to Palestinians attending college or university in the West Bank and Gaza. She has run 14 marathons and many other races wearing an Iqraa T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan, “Running for a Brighter Palestine.”

She also is a member of the advisory board for the Palestine Poster Project Archives, an online repository of more than 19,500 posters related to Palestine created by artists from around the world, and she is on the steering committee of Voices from the Holy Land, which hosts online film salons.
