Bridget Smith is a retired academic English teacher. She graduated from Flinders University specializing in English literature with post-grad studies in education and culture studies. She went on to teach in Australian secondary schools before retraining to teach English as a foreign language in Egypt, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia. This involved teaching adults and young learners, both beginner and advanced students, and becoming an IELTS speaking and writing examiner. Prior to retirement, she was an Academic English teacher of preparation courses for international graduate and post-graduate students entering Australian tertiary institutions.
