Bernie Koenig

    Bernie Koenig was born in New York City in 1943 and was educated at Manhattan School of Music, Long Island University and Brooklyn College before moving to London, Ontario, Canada to do Ph.D. work at the University of Western Ontario. He had a long career at Fanshawe College in London, primarily as a professor of music and philosophy, but also taught writing courses. He is author of Natural Law, Science and the Social Construction of Reality (2004), Art Matters: The Knowledge of Art/The Art of Knowledge (2009) and Thinking About Morality (2021). He also wrote articles for local newspaper on topical issues. As a musician, Bernie can be heard on two CDs on the Slam Label: Overheard Conversations and Three Way Conversations. Bernie has been active in various social and political issues and once ran for City Council in London.
