Aurora Matthews is an award-winning writer and public relations professional. She is vice president of New Heights Communications in Washington, DC, where she works on a number of social issues and has written op-eds for The New York Times, The Washington Post and Boston Globe. Previously, she worked as a publicist for the Malala Fund, helping young women around the globe receive access to safe education. She also has her master’s degree in human security from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
Aurora spends her free time hiking with her dog and traveling around the world. She is the co-founder of a local feminist book club that became so popular it spawned satellite groups in New York City. Aurora grew up in a family of writers and loves to read creative nonfiction, essays and historical nonfiction.
