Justice for George is justice for us all

When an oppressor is held to account, we all rejoice.

Barely breathing,
George feels the cop's hands
choking him again.
He looks down from heaven
at the court hall
at his killer's face,
showing no emotion,
like a stone statue,
still maintaining he is a guardian
of a galaxy of which is king.

The judge reads the verdict:
Guilty, guilty, guilty
on three counts.
A small candle flares bright
in the dark tunnel that has been justice
for the oppressed.

Celebrating in heaven,
Breonna screams Yeaah!
Sami Abu Diak hugs George.
Yasser Murtaja smiles.
George places his hand
on Yasser's shoulder and nods.
Justice is possible, my friends.
