My heart keeps singing,
But my head can't stop asking.
Questions knock in my 
mind like breaking news:
When this will end?
How will this end?
How is it going to change us?
Must we choose between
economy and humanity?

Is it a biological war or
the anger of Mother Nature?
Will capitalism gnaw at us
until we are raw?
Is democracy a false front
for military and guns?
Does love heal?
Can poetry save?
Is corona the only virus that kills?

Occupation is a virus.
Hunger is a virus.
Discrimination is a virus.
Power is a virus.
Money can be a virus.

Killing only one virus
won't make us safe.
