This poem is dedicated to all of the donors who help keep We Are Not Numbers going. We'd like to extend special recognition to Brian Barber, Medea Benjamin and CODEPINK, John Collins, Rochelle Davis, Katherine Dodds, Mares Hirchert, Kit Kittredge, M. Brinton Lykes, Marj Mansfield, Elaine Nonneman, Alice Rothchild, Andy Shalall, Natasha Wilson and Ann Wright.

If you love a song,
share it with others.
If you laugh at a joke,
share it with others.
Don’t hold back your tears;
share them with others.
If you make a delicious maklouba*,
share it with the others.

When your problems threaten
to consume you,
when you scream from pain,
remember you are just a drop
in a great big sea:
We are sisters and brothers.

There are a million reasons
to quit the show*,
But together we can find
one good reason to stay,
to hang on.

Maklouba is a traditional Palestinian dish made of chicken and rice. The reference to a "million reasons" is a rif off of a song by Lady Gaga. Music of all types is my muse!
