Palestinian youth tell the human stories behind the numbers in the news

When home is a person, you feel secure and safe, no matter where in the world you are. As long as you have "the one" around, you are where you’re meant to be. That's home.

By Leonid Afremov

Moving on from the past,
I tell myself
it’s a new chapter.
A new beginning.

I have held others before
but no one made me
feel like this:
So blessed.
I love the way you
sing my name.

Before you
I was a mess,
lost in thoughts
without a context.

Then you came into my life,
held my hand
and kissed me.
Your touch brought
me back to life.
You told me
in a language
I yearn to love you through:
Seni seviyorum,
with a smile.
I love you.

The taste of your
honey ginger vodka
is still on my lips.

Before you,
I was lost.
I had some good days
but nothing like
the way I feel now
when I hear you
calling me.

When you hold me
I feel at home.
Be my home.
Will you?
