Mahmoud Alnaouq

Mahmoud, 20, studies English language and literature at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza. He decided to change his life after Israeli airplanes killed one of his brothers in 2014. He wants to follow in his brother's footsteps by helping people he cares for, along with working toward his country's independence. He thinks the most effective way to change people's minds and to make a change in the world is through writing. He is a volunteer at his local library and with the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, where he works as a translator. He loves reading, watching TV and running.
