An evening of conversation with writers from Gaza, including WANNer Shahd Alnaami, as they explore their relationships with childhood, toys, and play through personal stories and memories from Gaza.

From the toys they loved, gave away, or were forced to leave behind, to the games children invent when toys and safe spaces are no longer available, the authors reflect on how genocide and displacement reshape the meaning of play.

The panel will also explore memory, imagination, loss, and ask what happens to childhood, and to children’s right to play, when toys disappear.
