we are not numbers

emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Walaa Ashraf Abu-Abdou

Walaa Ashraf Abu-Abdou is an ambitious Palestinian and a graduate from the Faculty of Commerce at the Islamic University of Gaza, with a major in accounting. She started her journey in volunteering during her gap year, because she believes volunteering helps her be a better person and gives her the motivation to do more. She took plenty of Erasmus+ badges while participating in virtual exchanges and hopes one day to get a scholarship to study abroad. Beside accounting, Walaa loves human rights, especially because she is a Palestinian who has witnessed aggressions. She is willing to be the voice of the voiceless anywhere.
