Toqa Abutaima is a trainee in the WANN 2026 cohort. She is studying medicine at the Islamic University of Gaza. She was a participant in the Palestine’s Children Council in high school, This gave her a deep understanding of international law and allowed her to take part in advocacy activities for children’s human rights. She is also interested in medical research. She writes because she believes that there will always be a story missed and worth telling and it’s her duty to tell it to the world.
