Shurooq Hijazi is a Gazan doctor. Born and raised in Gaza, she used to draw in addition to her medical studies. She graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2023 and has been volunteering and working in hospitals in the Gaza Strip since the war broke out in October 2023. She now lives in a refugee camp in the south of Gaza, and is looking forward to the end of the war when she can return to her homeland. Shurooq finds happiness in helping patients and relieving their pain.
