Shahd Ahmad Alnaami is an English literature and translation student at the Islamic University of Gaza, from Maghazi camp. She says:
“My passion for words drives my aspiration to create change and contribute to the Palestinian narrative. Full of life and surrounded by positivity, I adore learning about everything I can, capturing the essence of existence in my life.
“As a writer, poet, translator, and voice-over artist, my vision extends beyond the borders of my beloved city. I am committed to illuminating the struggles of Palestine through the art of language, transforming our stories into a universal narrative that resonates across continents.
“Inspired by the belief that ‘We will write until Palestine becomes free or we die,’ I view writing as both a beacon of hope and a form of resistance. If we, the storytellers and dreamers, do not speak up, who will? Our words are our weapon, our voice for the Palestinian cause, and our bridge to the world. Through my writing, I strive to ensure that the voices of my people are heard and our stories are told because we are not just numbers.”
