we are not numbers

emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Noor Abdo

Noor is a Palestinian-Hungarian hybrid who has spent her entire life in the diaspora: born in Cairo, raised in Kuwait, now studying in Istanbul. But she longs to be at "home" in Palestine. Noor is majoring in physiotherapy with a minor in biomedical engineering, and is working as a medical editor and translator. On the side, she is learning to be a Pilates instructor. Her dream is to dedicate her life to Palestine and use whatever power or voice she has to advocate for the Palestinian people and cause.

Without legs but with a camera, the photographer carries on.
The Palestinian culture is an instant bond when away from home.
Home is indeed where the heart is.
