Mona Bashir

Mona, 24, was born in Libya, and now lives in Deir Al-Balah, in the middle of Gaza. She studied English commerce at Al-Azhar University, specializing in business administration. Since then, Mona has worked as a social researcher and volunteered as an administrative assistant for an art and culture association. Today, she works as a translator.

She joined We Are Not Numbers to improve her English and better stand up for the Palestinian cause. Mona also loves reading, especially abut history, sociology and public affairs, and is "addicted to many kinds of art, such as music, poetry and painting."
