Mohammed Weam Al Ta’ban is a Palestinian writer and dedicated volunteer from Gaza, committed to sharing the humanitarian stories of his community. His writing has appeared in Al Jazeera, PRISM, and Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, in addition to the Palestinian platform Alyamamaa.
Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, Mohammed has volunteered with organizations such as Vento di Terra and Qurban Tareeq Al Ihsan, contributing to community support initiatives despite the difficult circumstances.
He dreams of studying medicine at a prestigious university abroad and aspires to become a changemaker for the Palestinian cause. Deeply connected to his homeland, Mohammed hopes to use his voice, skills, and experiences to create lasting impact for future generations.

Like the people in the tents, like the fishermen readying their boats, I am tired of this situation. But none of us have the luxury of giving up.
I wonder, who would I have been if I were born elsewhere? What would safety feel like? How would I have celebrated my birthday?
With only two more exams between students and their bright futures, war changed everything.
