Khaled Al-Qershali is an ambitious Palestinian writer from the besieged Gaza. He studies literature and English language at the Islamic University of Gaza. He is a dedicated student who enjoys both learning and spending time with his friends. Khaled’s favourite hobbies are playing computer games and swimming. “Whenever I finish studying, I reward myself by spending an hour or two playing my favourite PC game, Valorant,” he says.
Khaled was a student of Dr. Refaat Alareer, whom Israel killed. Israel also killed Khaled’s best friends, Mohammed Hamo and Abdallah Al-Khaldi. For Khaled, writing can be used as a tool to resist the occupation. “I strongly believe in writing literature as a way to resist,” he says.
