Islam Ismail lives in Al-Nuseirat, Gaza. She is a freelance translator and aspiring novelist. After losing her father to war, she turned to writing as both resistance and healing.
Islam joined We Are Not Numbers to amplify Gaza’s untold stories, especially those of women and families under siege. “Through my notebook and pen, I keep my father’s memory alive and help our voices reach the world,” she says.
