Haytham Abusenjar

    Haytham Abusenjar is from Gaza, Palestine, and holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Palestine College of Nursing. He has been working as a nurse in the oncology department at European Gaza Hospital for more than 6 years. He is a palliative care team member at the hospital and an active member of several local and international cancer-related organizations.

    Haytham was selected by the International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care as the first palliative care advocate in the Gaza Strip. He gives speeches at many palliative care events, including the 8th International Conference on Pain Management and Palliative Care in Palestine in 2019. An article he authored, “Palliative Care and Islamic Ethics,” was published by the journal of the Islamic University of Gaza in 2019.
