emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Haya El-Refai

I earned my bachelor’s degree in English literature in 2019. I have worked as an English writer, trainer and online translator, and also market health and beauty products via an online store. I love reading, writing (especially for children) and music (particularly the guitar, and I’d love to learn it). I believe reading is like sitting with someone telling me a story, so a book is a person for me. I think that working as a writer makes people live forever because if they die, their words will remain.

I plan to study for my master’s degree in business studies, and in 10 years, I imagine myself a businesswoman with her own company. My motto in life is to seize chances, because if I do not, someone else will take them.
