Hasna Abu Ewaida

Hasna Abu Ewieda, 20, describes herself as "an alien who was visiting earth and, sadly, got stuck here." She is a lover of books – paper books – but she is a a broke university student so she only gets to read pdf versions. Hasna is a "shy writer" but is outgoing is other aspects of life. She is currently studying English literature at the Islamic University of Gaza and volunteers as a translator. Her dream job is to open her own translation firm or her own publishiing house, with a small book store on the side.

    my work

With the number of disabled people in Gaza so high after repeated wars, "irade" (determination) is essential.
Amal and I quickly became close friends and when I asked about the scars, she told me the story of the F-16s.
One of the treasures of Gaza hidden behind the rubble and mayhem in the news is the food—my mother's food to be exact.
