Ghada Hania earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the Islamic University. She is a translator and content writer, and she has volunteered at different media institutions as a journalist and reporter. She is a member of the Palestinian Writers Association.

Among the many hobbies that she enjoys are drawing, embroidery, and taking photographs. Archaeological sites and writing about them excite her, also.

“Writing is a form of therapy for me,” she says. “As a means of affirming my identity, I write. I enjoy reading novels and short stories. I believe in the saying: ‘A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies.’

“How I want to represent myself to the world: In the stage of life’s adventures, I’m an unstoppable character. At my core, I’m a bit of a revolutionist. My lifelong pursuits are freedom and truth-seeking.”

The Israeli occupation spoiled a joyous day on which a family expected to be reunified with its beloved patriarch.
