Ghada Abu Muaileq is an English literature and translation student. She was supposed to graduate in Summer 2024, but the war changed her plans.
Since childhood, she has been passionate about reading, especially world literature. This has helped her develop her skills in poetry, prose, and short pieces.
“I believe in the power of words to express what we often cannot say,” Ghada says. “Amidst the war, writing has become my way of finding meaning and connecting with others who may feel the same but cannot express it.
“The war has taught me to reflect on the emptiness that surrounds us. Perhaps my writing can touch the emotions of someone else, someone living in the same silence and inability to express themselves, allowing words to become the voice that connects us all.”
