Genista Azmi is a student of English literature and translation at Islamic University of Gaza.

She has always held the belief that dedicating one’s life to learning is the most noble pursuit and that the quest for knowledge is the highest form of achievement. An adventurer at heart, she thrives on new experiences and embraces challenges with unwavering determination, never knowing the meaning of giving up or succumbing to despair. She sees effort, perseverance, and “swotting” (assiduous study) as the elements that give life true meaning, believing that every moment of hard work today will yield significant results in the future.

“The ability to write is a divine gift,” she says. “Language is a powerful tool to convey the truths of life, by painting vivid pictures for readers. I am convinced that creativity often emerges from struggle and am committed to using writing and language in innovative ways to reflect the hopes and emotions of my people to the world.”
