emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Amany Elsafady

Amany Elsafady graduated from Al-Azhar University with a bachelor's degree in English/Arabic translation. She is a shy and quiet personality in person, but when writing she is formidable. She finds that writing allows her to express her feelings, thoughts, and beliefs freely without fear of people's judgment. “Being raised in a restricted environment has made me somewhat socially paralyzed, but writing releases me of all these restrictions, boundaries, and complications. It empowers me to be a superhero in my own world.”
