Ali Skaik is pursuing a degree in English literature at the Islamic University of Gaza. He joined the English Access Scholarship Program not only to learn a new language but also to discover a new part of himself. Through this program, he gained more than just words—he developed confidence, communication skills, cultural awareness, and a voice ready to be heard.
Reading, writing, and listening to podcasts are his favorite ways to learn. They expand his mind, give him new ideas, and feed his curiosity every day.
“I believe that reading opens the door, and writing walks me through it,” he says. “One feeds the other in a never-ending cycle of inspiration.”
