emerging writers from Palestine tell their stories and advocate for their human rights

Ahmed Dader

  • Gaza Strip

Ahmed Dader works as a freelancer and writer with charity institutions in Gaza.

He has survived more than nine deadly onslaughts against humanity in Gaza; he lost his only child in one of those aggressions.

He has worked as an English trainer in many educational institutions in Gaza and as a call center agent for a company based in Dubai.

Ahmed is a big dreamer. He loves life and is an adventurer. He wishes for the ability to travel outside Gaza one day and “see the true meaning of life.”

my work

Don’t tell your children that while we were being exterminated, you were busy celebrating your achievements.
Once upon a time / In a land not so far / A people lived in peace / How pure they truly are!
It's cold outside. / It has now been two weeks, / Three days, perhaps seven hours, / That I became houseless.
The sea in Gaza once glistened as if barrels of marine-blue glitter had been poured over its surface. Not now.
‘I managed to secure a bag of flour…. But then suddenly, out of nowhere, we were met with a fusillade of bullets.’
