His career has taken him across the Netherlands, Palestine, Qatar, and Turkey, enriching his perspective and storytelling.
Deeply engaged with travel, literature, he is currently working on his first book.
He has journeyed through more than 15 countries, carrying with him an enduring curiosity for places, people, and different cultures
“My earliest writings were shaped by dreams of tomorrow, by the thirst for discovery, and by the achievements I longed to realize,” he says. “Yet over time, my work took an unexpected turn. I found myself getting into the language of loss, grief, stories of tragedy, and the closed crossings that shape both geography and fate of Gazans.
“Without any effort, I at last found myself in a job I never applied for—the guardian of a vast cemetery within my chest.”
“It seems that this is my role in life —and perhaps the role of every Gazan: to lose… or rather, to be born already having lost. My uncle was martyred when I was just one year old, killed by the Zionist army. I grew up hearing his stories from his friends and relatives. From that point on I fell in love with storytelling, with the tales, until I became, in a way, one of the guardians of memory.”
