Catherine Baker

Catherine is an American writer whose publishing credits range from her first work of fiction, "To Do the Deal, A Novel in Stories"to a college textbook on English composition; to a comic book about a couple dealing with multiple addictions. Catherine also is  a member of the Washington,DC-based running group Iqraa (Arabic for read), which raises funds for college scholarships, awarded by the United Palestinian Appeal to Palestinians attending college or university in the West Bank and Gaza. She has run four Marine Corps marathons, the Boston Marathon and DC’s Gaza 5K wearing an Iqraa T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan, “Running for a Brighter Palestine.” Catherine is a member of the advisory board for the Palestine Poster Project Archives, an online repository of more than 10,000 posters related to Palestine created by artists from around the world.
